Ultrasound

Ultrasounds are used to produce images of internal organs to diagnose and monitor certain health conditions and, in pregnancy, produce images of a fetus.  Other examples of women's health conditions that we, as OBGYN physicians, monitor are infertility, abnormal bleeding, a pelvic mass, a breast lump or pelvic pain.

In cases of pregnancy, our physicians normally schedule your first ultrasound at eight to twelve weeks into your pregnancy and the second at twenty weeks.

At Dothan OBGYN, we also offer 4D ultrasounds, which can be scheduled, for an additional charge, between 28-30 weeks.
